EasyJet #U28626 diverted from London to Paris after declaring an emergency

first_img Show Comments ▼ whatsapp Update: EasyJet flight #U28626, travelling from Palma de Mallorca to London Gatwick,  has landed safely at Paris Orly after having declared an emergency.  The flight – EZY8626 – was diverted because of a medical emergency on board.  EasyJet has issued a statement confirming the cause of the incident. It said: “Unfortunately due to a passenger welfare issue your aircraft has been diverted to Paris Orly. Once our team on the ground has assisted the passenger we plan to refuel and continue to London Gatwick. “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.” The plane is now scheduled to depart Paris Orly at 3:35pm and will arrive in Gatwick at 3:45pm. It had originally been scheduled to arrive at 1:35pm.  The plane diverted at around 1:20pm,  having squawked 7700, the air traffic control code for an emergency.
